The Ukrainian Physics and Mathematics Lyceum<\/strong> students visited the Institute of Journalism!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stars became so that on December 2, 2025, after classes at the Lyceum, Ukrenergo gave light to the institute building at the right time – and it was possible to implement the Action Plan within the framework of the project “Socium: a look from the inside”<\/a>: to visit the Hidden Media Effects Lab and plan future scientific work.
Visiting the Institute of Journalism and not feeling like future TV or Radio stars is not right! So an excursion to the educational studios was provided!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A teaching and student research team will be organized on the basis of the laboratory and the lyceum. The results of the study will be worked on together and presented at a round table, but already in the new year. Here are the plans!

On October 9, 2025, the Laboratory of Hidden Media Effects of the Department of Social Communications was visited by the Director General of the State scientific enterprise \u201cScientific and Practical Medical Rehabilitation and Diagnostic Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine\u201d<\/a>, Doctor of Public Administration, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Oleg Anatoliyovych Panchenko and the Scientific Secretary, Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology, Candidate of Psychological Sciences Anastasia Valeriyivna Kabantseva. The meeting lasted more than two hours, because it was not just a conversation about cooperation, but an interested discussion of issues of information security and hygiene, in particular, in a children’s environment, and the methodology of joint interdisciplinary research, and the psychological state of citizens during the war. Colleagues presented the laboratory with their monographs. The laboratory employees also demonstrated their research devices and talked about the methods they use in their research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After classes on October 8, an announced meeting of teachers of the Department of Social Communications of the Institute of Journalism, employees of the Laboratory of Hidden Media Effects with the heads of the lyceum took place in the walls of the UPML. They launched a joint scientific and educational project \u201cSociety: a look from the inside\u201d. The curators of the project from the lyceum were teacher Arsen Rizun, and from the Department of Social Communications and the Laboratory, psychologist Inna Bielinska. The project involves the participation of lyceum students in conducting research on their own lyceum society under the guidance of teachers of the department on the topic of information security, hygiene and disinformation, discussing the results of these studies in lyceum groups, during round tables, on the \u201cSociety\u201d page of the lyceum website, in the chat of the \u201cLyceumSocial\u201d community on WhatsApp. Preparing scientific papers for participation in student competitions is another task that teachers and students will work on. The educational component of the project will include the distribution of materials on the stated topic through the website, and the participation of students in media literacy trainings, which will be conducted by the department together with public organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Institute of Journalism+Institute of Biology and Medicine=Friendship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Friends Day is celebrated all over the world. As you know, you can be friends not only with like-minded people, but also with families and even scientific communities! The Institute of Journalism continued the good tradition of cooperation with colleagues from the friendly the Educational and Scientific Center “Institute of Biology and Medicine”. Second-year students of this institute began an introductory practice, which took place in the Laboratory of Hidden Media Effects. Scientists of the laboratory and scientists of the Institute of Biology and Medicine, who conduct joint scientific activities, held a scientific seminar on the topic of research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
